Practice and study of the Buddha’s teaching in the quiet and simplicity of a forest refuge.

The retreat is intended for those who wish to deepen their understanding of the teaching through a combination of study, meditation, and communal living.
Participants take part in the daily rhythm of the center and contribute to its functioning as a shared household. They engage in individual study of the Dharma according to their own interest and pace, have access to the library, and may request brief consultations with Tomáš Dhammadipa.
The retreat is guided by Monika, the companion of Tomáš Dhammadipa.
Support for the Center and the Teacher
The cost of a Dharma stay is not fixed — it depends on the generosity and means of the participants.
The recommended contribution is 700–1000 Kč / 30–40 € per day, which covers accommodation and meals. However, a lack of funds should not be an obstacle to participation — it is also possible to contribute through work, especially for young people and students who do not yet have an income.
Participants are also encouraged to support the Dharma teacher, Tomáš Dhammadipa, according to their means, as he devotes his time and energy to the transmission of the teaching.
Supporting the teacher is a natural part of the practice of dāna – generosity – which sustains Shantavana as a living space for the Dharma and makes it possible for the teaching to be shared with others.
