Shanta Vana is situated in a foothill area, deep within the forest, in the picturesque and protected landscape of the Maloskalsko Nature Park in the Bohemian Paradise. This part of the village Malá Skála (meaning “Little Rock” in Czech) is called Sněhov (“Snowy”), a name it owes to the heavy snowfall it receives in winter.
By car or on foot
If you enjoy adventure, you can reach the site by car — at your own risk — from the Sněhov area, where a sometimes bumpy and muddy forest road branches off from the asphalt. However, both the landscape and the purpose of the place make it ideal for a walk. On the way, you naturally realize that the site’s partial isolation from the bustle of society in the remote forest landscape fosters calm and stillness. Therefore, it is better to park your car at the Malá Skála parking lot and walk to us along the attractive hiking trail.
